Doaba Institute of Engineering & Technology (DIET), Kharar, celebrated Engineers’ Day on September 15, 2026, with enthusiasm and academic spirit by organizing an engaging Drone Workshop Seminar for its students.
The programme was inaugurated by S. S. S. Sangha, Managing Vice Chairman, and S. Navpreet Singh, Management Member, along with the Director-Principals, HODs, faculty members and students of Doaba Group of Colleges.
The workshop was conducted by S. Satinderpal Singh, Retd. Air Modelling Officer, NCC Air Wing, Patiala, along with his expert team. Students gained practical insights into drone technology, air modelling, drone operations, applications and emerging career opportunities.
Live demonstrations and expert interaction made the session highly informative and engaging. Students explored the growing applications of drones in defence, agriculture, surveying, logistics, disaster management, surveillance and other technological fields.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Sharma, Principal, DIET Kharar, appreciated the initiative and highlighted the importance of practical exposure, innovation and technology-oriented learning for engineering students.
The successful workshop reaffirmed DIET Kharar’s commitment to experiential learning, technical excellence, innovation and preparing students for emerging technologies.
